Passport to Hungary
Description
Passport to Hungary: Join the North Carolina Symphony on Friday January 13th at 8:00 pm and Saturday January 14th at 8pm at Meymandi Concert Hall in Downtown Raleigh!
Kodály and Bartók’s folk song-inspired masterpieces help you explore a tradition that has fueled hundreds of composers, at home and abroad. Ravel and 20th-century trailblazer Kamilló Lendvay, for instance.
Kodály: Dances of Galánta
Kamilló Lendvay: Concertino Semplice for cimbalom and orchestra
Ravel: Tzigane
Bartók: Concerto for Orchestra
Please join us for a pre-concert talk on Friday January 13th at 7 pm in the West Pavilion Lobby! There will also be a Meet the Artist on Saturday January 14th at 6:30 pm also in the West Pavilion Lobby.
